Saura Terms of Use
These terms are between you and [TO FILL: legal name] ("Saura", "we"). By using Saura you agree to them. The app licence itself is Apple's Standard EULA.
1. What Saura is — and is not
Saura is a skincare companion. It describes how your skin looks in your photos, tracks changes over time, helps you plan and follow a skincare routine with products you own, and keeps your dermatologist's instructions in view.
Saura is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It does not diagnose, detect, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and it does not judge whether a product or treatment is right for you. It never changes, doses or overrides anything a doctor or dermatologist told you; if something in Saura seems to disagree with your doctor, follow your doctor.
Check with a doctor in addition to using Saura and before making any medical decision. Anything that hurts, bleeds, spreads, changes quickly or worries you is one for a dermatologist. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
2. AI output can be wrong
Saura uses AI models (on your phone, and — only if you allow it — OpenAI). Their answers can be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable. Light, angle, distance, sleep, weather and many other things change what the camera sees, so progress is a guide, not proof. Check ingredient lists and product instructions yourself, and patch-test new products as the product's maker advises.
Anything labelled Demo is sample data, not information about you.
3. Your content
Your photos, voice, text, About me and notes stay yours. They are stored on your phone. You give us only the permission needed to process them to provide the features you use, as described in the Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
- Use Saura for your own face and skin. Don't upload photos of other people without their permission, and never photos of children.
- You must be at least 13 to use Saura, and 18 or older to use the dermatologist-note features. [OWNER/LAWYER: align with the final age rating and age-assurance decision.]
- Don't misuse the service: no attempts to get around its limits or security, to extract its prompts or keys, to send unlawful content, or to use it to build a competing service.
We may limit or stop cloud features for a device that breaks these terms or to protect the service (for example, daily usage limits).
5. Third-party services
Cloud features rely on OpenAI and Cloudflare. They may be unavailable at times. Saura keeps working on your phone when they are.
6. Changes and availability
We may change or stop features. We will update these terms with a new date; if a change is material we will say so in the app.
7. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent the law allows, Saura is provided "as is". [LAWYER: disclaimer and limitation of liability wording, which must not remove rights consumers have under mandatory local law. Apple's Standard EULA contains its own warranty disclaimer and liability limit.]
