Categories of consumer health data we collect, and why

| Instructions from your dermatologist that you add and confirm (for example a product, how often, what time of day), and the note lines you approve | To show your dermatologist's instructions, keep Saura's suggestions in line with them, and order your routine around them. Saura never changes them. |

All of this is stored on your iPhone. It leaves the phone only as described under "Categories of consumer health data we share".

Categories of consumer health data we share
Only after you turn on "Let OpenAI read my dermatologist notes" (a permission separate from everything else, which also asks you to confirm you are 18 or older):
- the note lines you approve on a preview (never the image of the note);
- your confirmed dermatologist instructions, prescribed products and reactions, when they are needed to answer you or to speak an answer.
Skin photos and conversations are shared only after you allow "Use OpenAI for photos and replies". Without the separate health permission, Saura removes dermatologist instructions, prescribed products and reactions from what it sends.
We do not sell consumer health data.
Third parties and affiliates we share with

We have no affiliates that receive consumer health data.
Your rights and how to use them
You can:
- Confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and access it: it is shown in the app under Settings → About me. We hold no copy of it on our servers.
- Withdraw consent: Settings → Privacy → turn off "Let OpenAI read my dermatologist notes" (and/or "Use OpenAI for photos and replies").
- Delete: in the app, delete a single instruction or note (Settings → About me), clear About me, or use Forget everything (Settings → Your data). See Delete your data. OpenAI may keep what was already sent for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, or longer if the law requires.
- Ask us at privacy@saura.app. We will answer without undue delay and within 45 days. If we decline, you can appeal by replying to our answer with "Appeal"; we will answer the appeal within [LAWYER: period]. If the appeal is denied you may contact the Washington Attorney General ([LAWYER: add link / form]).
